Mt Remarkable National Park

This small National Park is between the Spencer Gulf and the mountainous regions. It has a higher rainfall than other parks in South Australia, so flora and fauna are plentiful. It attracts many hikers, as it's near to Adelaide (Capital City). The mountain itself rises to almost (1000m). Bush camping is allowed near the summit.

Alligator Gorge Circuit

Distance : 12km

Location : South of the town of Wilmington

The circuit starts at Blue Gum Flat in Mt Remarkable National Park. This is a well graded track and will give you breathtaking views from The Battery, right over Spencer Gulf. This a short but dramatic walk through the most unusual gorge in the ranges. The park is home to the lace goanna, the death adder and many reptiles.
